Music therapy is for the patient as well as the caregiver and family.

Who can participate?

Families and other caregivers are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the music. Nothing is expected from the patient or family. They are free to receive the music or join in by singing or playing a rhythm instrument.

Receptive music listening can support those who are exhausted with the demands of end-of-life care and comfort the patient.  Active music participation can turn an uncomfortably quiet visit into a lively and memorable experience.  Young children especially enjoy these facilitated music therapy session visits.
